OH. CRAP.

While getting ready for the day, probably about a week ago I'd guess, Kaleb ran off with my wedding ring and I haven't found it since. I had heard him in the kitchen playing with the kittens in the window so I thought it'd be around there some where, and have just been keeping my eyes open for it. Well earlier we were cleaning up a bit and the vacuum had been tipped over, so I went to pick it up and yep, you guessed it, there was my wedding ring sitting on the floor next to the vacuum, looking like this :
Vacuum cleaners and wedding rings DON'T mix! Luckily I was able to get it fixed. It is nice and round now and will go back on my finger, however, when they were fixing it, because it was so bent, it received a few 'stress fractures'. So now I still can't (well, shouldn't) wear it until I get those fixed or it could break all the way through :( So, if you ever lose your wedding ring, don't vacuum until you find it!
The first time in 3 years that I have misplaced it and this is what happens!

Christmas

We had a really fun Christmas this year! Here are some pictures from throughout the day:

Kaleb has some big boxes at my parents house he loves to play in, Jeff took a nap in them :)

and play in the shower with him :)We ended up staying the night at my parents house because of the snow. Kaleb was SO hyper, he finally went to bed with Brittany around 12:30, only to sleep til 4. Then he wouldn't stop crying, we couldn't figure out why he was so sad. Finally at 5 we headed home, it had stopped snowing, but the roads hadn't been plowed and were really crappy so we had to drive really slow. Kaleb had fallen asleep but of course woke up when I got him out of his seat, and he did not want to lay in his bed. He cried for a minute and then was asleep, and luckily slept til 11:15! He must just need his own bed I guess!

CHRISTMAS EVE

I combed Kaleb's hair into a mowhawk and thought it was so cute, I had to get a pic. Even though his dad is definitely not a fan!Getting ready to open presents at Grandma and Papa's

He unwrapped his to the box, then unwrapped Jenna's to the box and then was like, ok now what? We had to show him to actually open the box. It was pretty funny!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

BIG BOY BED!

Today I set up Kaleb's toddler bed in his new room, he was a very good helper with this project! I thought I'd try him out for his nap in there to see how he'd do. I totally expected him to play with his toys or try to open the door, but he didn't- he went right to sleep! He is such a good boy, he is getting big too fast though!! (I know, I know, I always say that- but it's true!)

This story makes me so sad. I am so grateful for my children's health. I don't know what I would do if something ever happened to either one of them. Keep this family in your prayers.

29 Years, 18 Months, 4 weeks

Everyone has had their own little 'milestone' recently.

Jeff turned 29 on the 8th!

We got him his own skookie pans since he seems to really like them, they are way yummy! We went out to dinner as a family and went and bought Kaleb new shoes. Not too exciting- I'll try to be better next year!!

Kaleb is 18 months!
He is getting so big so fast! At his checkup he weighed 28.3- which is in the 80 percentile and he was 35 1/2 inches tall- in the 95 percentile! He is such a good big brother, he really loves his sister and is always a great helper and so much fun!
It's getting tricky to get a good picture of him, so we settled for this :)

Jenna is already 4 weeks!
Crazy how time flies! The sad thing is the past little while has been such a blur! We weighed her at Kaleb's appointment because the Dr. wanted to make sure she was gaining weight, and she was 7.11. I think she is starting to get little chubby cheeks and it's so cute!!

And me, well I did get all my dishes washed today, that's something, right?!

These boots are made for walkin'

I hope nobody is offended by this picture, but I thought it too funny not to share! Kaleb absolutely LOVES his boots. He had climbed into the shower with them on but I wasn't quick enough to get that pic so this is when he got out and was getting a cookie.

And here he is again, at least I got a diaper on him- what a stud!

Kaleb also loves Jenna! It is so cute. Today he wanted her to lay right by him and share her blanket, he even has his arm around her! he is always making sure she has her binki even if she doesn't want it :) He is such a good big brother! Like his nice bruise? That is getting better too. He fell down a few of the cement stairs at the spectrum on Saturday, I felt SO bad, I just wanted to cry with him!
He is getting really good at mimicking people, here he is clapping at the game, until he sees that I have the camera out :) He claps and yells and 'milks the cow' and points when they air ball and all sorts of stuff, it is so fun to watch him- I probably watch him more than the game!
