Happy Helper

This is Kaleb's new favorite pastime... it is so funny when you put him down and he crawls as fast as he can to the dryer all excited and giggly! He likes to put his whole upper half clear inside and look around and lay on the laundry, and of course he likes to pull it out too :)

How do you sleep?

Yes, he is really sleeping- how can he even be comfortable? The last little while when I go in and check on Kaleb I find him in some interesting positions, how would it be to be that flexible :)

I love to laugh- ha ha ha ha!

Kaleb likes to do this... you can't hear him laughing the greatest but he is. He usually just giggles like crazy when you do it to him-it is funny. He normally holds on to my shirt, but this time he held on to the right side of my hair the first time and then the second time he first grabbed a hold of my hair on the left and then he got a hold of my earring to hold on, that was pleasant :) It is so funny how he holds on for a minute and then just all the sudden decides to let go and back he falls.

Isn't this a great picture :) We were in my bedroom and Kaleb was playing with this fusball and the exercise ball and then I went to change laundry loads and when I turned around Kaleb was crawling out of the room with the ball in his mouth! He kept putting it in and spitting it out- he is a silly kid.

I know this is just such a wonderful photo of myself, because I am amazingly photogenic ;) But I thought I would show off my new hair do!

I have to finish

I found this game the other day, and now I am addicted! I have to keep playing it to try and get through. Some of the questions are quite dumb-but then you get them wrong and you feel really dumb(or maybe that's just me) And some of them don't make sense at all, like number 16-I just don't get it, but for some reason I find it fun and entertaining, so I thought I would pass it on for the rest of you to try out if you get as bored as me! Good luck!

Toilets/Pennies

He can crawl! He started on Friday-it is so darn cute, I try to get him to crawl any chance I can so that I can watch it :) He still would rather someone just come pick him up and take him where he wants, but I'm sure once he gets better that will change. His pediatrician told us that when he started crawling, to watch out for the toilet because babies like to play in them, and can drown in them. And also pennies, or anything on the floor because everything will go in his mouth (hence the title!)

The other day I thought this was pretty funny, I sat him by the washer with one of his toys and he thought it was so fun to bang it against the washer. He wasn't quite as enthused by the time I got the camera but it was still pretty good.

8 Months

It's true, Kaleb is now 8 months! Crazy! We weighed him today and he is 22 lbs. 9 oz.- he is getting huge! We are trying to get him to crawl, but he just doesn't go for it, he gets up on his hands and knees no problem and then rocks back and forth but doesn't ever take off, one of these days I suppose he will. He gets around everywhere even without crawling though, he has found that he can roll to get places-it is fun to watch! And since he has discovered this it is harder to get him to sit still for a picture!
Kaleb has already had 3 dislocated elbows! Poor kid, he's got my genes. The most recent one was just last night. Luckily at Kaleb's last Dr.'s appointment we had Dr. Mckenna show both Jeff and I how to put it back in, so I was able to do it- it was rough, I did not like doing it, I felt so so bad- like I was hurting him worse- I wanted to cry. But right afterwards he was using that arm again like nothing had even happened. I am glad babies are so forgiving! And at least my being able to do it saved us a trip to the ER and the bill to go along with it.

Winter Wonderland

When Jeff got home from his meeting this morning, I was in the bathroom getting ready for church.

Jeff: Awww, your getting all dressed up for me. (he walks out and then comes back in) And just for me and nobody else.
Me: Of course :)
Jeff: I am the only one who gets to see you, church has been canceled
Me: What? Why?
Jeff: Uh, have you looked out side recently?
Me: No
Jeff: Well during our meeting the stake president called and canceled church.

Yeah really, they canceled church, I don't ever remember that happening before. All the kids will be sad that it didn't happen tomorrow instead so that they could miss school! So Jeff called his home teaching people and I called my visiting teaching people so that the news would get spread quickly before people started heading to church. We are supposed to use the time to help our neighbors and make sure everything is alright with them so now Jeff is out with the tractor again helping people dig out their drives ways.

Our house all buried in the snow. Jeff would get the walkway cleared and then more snow would fall off the roof, it was pretty funny!

Our neighbor Jed helping clear the roads- don't you just love how everyone just gets out their tractors to help shovel!

The side of our house all covered in snow

Kaleb out watching his dad on the tractor

Jeff at it again, clearing the road a bit and the neighbors drive

Cookie Monster!

Kaleb LOVES cookies! It is so funny to watch him eat them, and of course he gets very messy!

He also uses his feet for everything. Here he is holding on to his bottle with them, just one of his many talents :)
