It's a...

...Baby!

Yep-it's true, we are having another baby! Some have asked if they missed an announcement sometime or something, and no you didn't! We never really announced it, it just kinda got spread through the grapevine :) We put the baby ticker on here and it was funny when people noticed it what their reactions were! Our due date is November 20th, we are very excited to have another baby! Kaleb is so much fun, so why not have more, right?!
We had our ultrasound today and got to see our newest addition, so fun! I love to be able to see the baby move around and be able to see that they are nice and healthy! Baby weighs about 10 oz right now- not even a soda can! The baby was hiding its face behind the placenta so it was hard to get a good shot, the ultrasound guy tried for quite a while to get it to move so that we could see, but of course, baby was stubborn and wouldn't budge! This is the best(only) face shot we got, I tried to label it so you can tell a little bit more what everything is...

cute little legs

I think it is cool to see the blood flow through the cord

Oh, and nope we didn't find out if it is a boy or a girl! Are we crazy? It is going to be a surprise, I am not sure I can make it 20 more weeks before I know, I guess i have made it that long already though so we will see how it goes! I told Jeff we need to come up with a nickname because I don't like just saying "it" since we can't really say he or she, any suggestions?

What do you think it will be? We will have to do a little prize for whoever guesses right. Either leave me a comment or email me (esoccer128@hotmail.com) and let me know what you think, boy or girl, weight, length, what day and time it will be born, all that fun stuff- it will be fun to see what the results are!

Fun Times

Last week was Logan Regionals swim party at the Logan aquatic center. My parents and I took Kaleb, at first he wasn't too sure about it, he didn't really want anything to do with the water- but after a bit I got him to play in it and he sure loved it!

Checking things out, but not loosening his grip on me at all!

Not too sure about being in the water

Ok, he decided it was fun after all

Taking a break while they checked the pool, yummy dough nuts!

He would laugh when I'd lay him back and the back of his head would get wet

Just chillin' Playing with mom's sun glasses is the best part

All dried off and ready to go. When I put him down to clean things up, he took off for the pool, my mom had to run him down just in time to keep him out of it!

On Friday, Jeff got done pretty early, home before 7:00 when it's warm outside-we didn't know what to do with ourselves! We decided to go for a little boat ride, but we didn't want to go to all the effort to get our boat out for just a short spin. (lazy I know :)) Luckily Mike and Alan and some friends were already out in their boat so they let us come go for a quick ride down to the dam and back. Again Kaleb didn't know what to think at first, he just sat on my lap for the most part. After a few minutes he decided it was alright and liked to look at everything. Pretty funny little kid!

Eating a frosty shake on the way to the river

Sitting on dad's lap for a bit

Jeff would hold him up above the wind shield and Kaleb would laugh and squirm

Looking up over the top of the wind shield

Decided he liked it and he could stand up there on his own!

Kaleb LOVES to go outside, the second Jeff gets home he grabs a hat and hands it to Jeff (because he always wears a hat when he leaves) and he tries to get him to take him back outside. So yesterday when Jeff was going to go milk and move pipe we decided to go with him, Kaleb really likes to ride in the truck and just be out and about and with his dad.

Hard at work ;)

What a good helper, making sure that sprinkler is ready to go

He didn't want to follow me when I moved the hose to the next hydrant, so he just sat there and scowled at me for a minute

Kodak moment :)

I think Jeff has finally come to terms with the fact that I am a picture taker, and that yes he does have to be in them!

Hogle Zoo

On Saturday we took the kids and went to Hogle Zoo, it was a lot of fun, but a long day too! We would go find one animal, and when we got there we'd look at it for about 2 seconds and then Emily would say "ok lets go to the next one!" Sam wanted to stay at each one a bit longer and get a good look at everything. I had never been to Hogle Zoo before and it was fun to take Kaleb for his and my first time!

least you can still kinda see them!
I hope to get it fixed today!

One Year!?!

Viewers beware: it's a lengthy one! One year ago my sweet little Kaleb was born. Here is his
story, more for my memory than anything:) I couldn't sleep Saturday night so finally about 3:00 AM I got up and watched a couple movies. We went to church at 11, and then I headed off to be to work by 2. My water broke about 6:00 PM on Sunday June 3rd (while at work of course), I was glad I had gone into labor on my own. Only problem- NO contractions. I didn't want Pitocin because I had heard that makes labor harder and I had wanted to try and go without an epidural. Finally around 10:00 PM we decided to go ahead and get the pit drip since nothing was really happening still. I did good until about 1:00 AM and then all of a sudden my contractions wouldn't stop- no breaks in between, I couldn't catch my breath and I was shaking like crazy. My nurse came in and talked to me and I decided to go ahead and get an epidural. I was able to relax and rest a little bit then and things went smoothly from then on. I was ready to go at 7:00 AM, they had me start pushing at 8:00 Am and Kaleb arrived at 10:02 AM on Monday June 4th. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. I of course started crying the second he got here- I couldn't believe he was actually here, I had really just had a baby! Jeff had the HUGEST smile on his face and kept going back of forth between me and the baby.
We were all ready to head home on Tuesday, but then Kaleb's pediatrician called and said that he wanted us to stay another night. Kaleb's Bili was high, he had had a few high temperatures, and where my water had been broke for 16 hours before he was born, the chances for infection and what not were higher for him. So we stayed another night, they checked him in the morning and his Bili had gone up again but not so much that they were too concerned so they let us go home at last! It was so good to get home with him, we were all able to get better rest, and definitely better food!
I am so glad to have Kaleb in our little family, he was such a good baby and is still such a good little boy. We are so blessed to have him with us. Every single day I just look at him and tell him how much I love him. He makes me so happy.

Welcome baby!

8 lbs. 6 oz.

Scrubba-dub!

Cheese

All ready to go

We definitely broke this habit!

I think Kaleb had a pretty fun 1st birthday. He wasn't too in to opening the presents, but it was fun to watch him try when he would. My parents and Adelyn and her kids came over for lunch, then we did presents and had cake and ice cream. When we took the cake to Kaleb with the candle lit, he grabbed the candle to put it out :) He really enjoyed eating the cake though-he sure knows how to make a mess of himself! Later we took him out to firehouse for dinner with some friends, he likes the bread a lot, and he enjoyed the pizza too. He sure is one spoiled little boy- thanks everyone for coming and for all his gifts!

His Tonka Truck birthday cake

He got wax on his hand from
grabbing the candle and it was
really bothering him!

Yummy cake

He likes to get pushed in his

He figured out how to push it too
