Bear Lake

Last week we took a day and went to Bear Lake. It was lots of fun!

Best Frenemies

We caught 2! The kids loved it!

Adelyn even held one for a bit. Then it moved.

Then she threw it in my direction. I didn't like it.

Kaleb was not being cooperative,  the handle on the lifejacket

This one is a bit better, Emily was really worried that

Kaleb was going to dump the frogs though. Probably

because he already had ;)

We were having tons of fun in the boat, when we turned around

my my dad was all of a sudden like "we gotta go" There was a HUGE

black cloud coming over the mountain, so we stopped, got Adelyn

out of the water and took off towards shore.  We started getting all of the stuff

ready to haul up to the car while my parents went to load the boat, when it

started blowing like crazy! The poor kids were crying because the sand was pelting them.

We threw blankets on them, and poor/brave little Emily was trying to cover the

smaller kids, not worrying about herself!  We got them all covered and I took off

running to get the car and brought it down by the water to load stuff and kids.

We just threw everything/everyone in the car and took off. We were showering/changing

when my mom called and said they were going to need help loading the boat

and to hurry. So we did.  It was not fun at all while they were loading the boat!

Luckily there were a bunch of guys there willing to help out, one of them drove our

boat and did a  really good job, even kept it from tipping over when it was seriously

close! I felt bad for my mom sitting in the boat...I was just sitting there with my foot

on the truck brake as hard as I could until they finally got it! Not really something I'd

ever like to experience again!

Kinda gives you an idea of how big the waves were getting.

So glad all those nice guys were there to help, I don't think we could have done it otherwise!

I'm  not really sure why I don't have any pictures of Kaleb tubing on here...I'll have to work on that, the kid loves it! Maybe we need to move somewhere we can boat all year long...I don't know what the poor boy is going to do once the snow comes!
